What is Emergency Housing?In New York City anyone who asks for emergency shelter must be sheltered if they are truly homeless or shelterless. Everyone must go through the intake centers to enter the shelter system.
What are Drop-In Centers?Drop In Centers provide a safe place for street homeless people to spend time off the street, eat a hot meal, and get other essential help. Drop In Centers operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What services serve the Youth?Programs provide youth up to the age of 24 and their families with essentials like food, clothing and immediate shelter as well as access to counseling, support, and referrals to relevant services. Drop-In Centers are open six days a week.
What Mail Assistance Programs?Mail Assistance Programs provide a safe and secure mailing address for those who do not have a mailing address they can use for personal business.
